Wildlife Filmmaking on the River Spey

Earlier this year Gavin Shand, a student from the University of the West of England in Bristol, contacted the Spey Fishery Board to discuss putting together a wildlife film as part of his Masters course.  Gavin wanted to show how important the river is to both wildlife and local people, the threats to the river and how people are working to protect it.

Gavin spent a few days out filming along the River Spey and along the Moray Coast in the SFB patrol boat with the Spey Fishery Board’s Head Bailiff, Richard Whyte.  This short film has now been published and is titled, “Tales of a Water Bailiff” which can be seen from the following vimeo link here.
