Week ending 28th September 2014

Well that is the season finished, OK for the pedantic out there, there are two days left, but I do not think anyone’s heart is in it. When I was out last week I noticed a couple of areas of clean gravel, practice redds I am informed. Why a fish would practice moving gravel about is beyond me, I hope somebody can provide a reasonable explanation. The promised rain failed to turn up so the river remains low. The tides peak but I do not think there are many fish to come.

Roll on next season! I will provide an update of the final figures when I receive them.

Looking in forward to 2015. Can I take this opportunity to remind everyone that the average speed cameras will be turned on, on the A9, for next year, so allow plenty more journey time as it will be slow.

Welcome to Scotland.

Welcome to Scotland.

I write one report without pictures of fish, and my email account goes into melt down.

OK a few fishy pictures.
