Week Commencing 9th March 20.
Well it has been a little better, the river has still been unsettled and this weekend’s rain is already pushing the river up, hopefully not by too much. There is rain forecast for Tuesday and Friday but not too much. The rest of the week will have some sunshine but temperatures remain in single figures. The tides have peaked and there will be no new water till the end of the week.
Catches.
At last a few more beats have got their season up and running.
Gordon Castle had their first fish on Thursday morning, Tony Palmer caught it from Beat 3, the second soon followed on Friday.
Rothes also caught their first on Thursday, Nigel Badiozzaman, a new member of the Gordon Group caught it from Creichie. On Friday one of the longest serving members Kevin James caught one in the Long Pool Pot and Tony Smith caught one in Burnmouth.
Then on Friday Arndilly got up and running, Eddie Bisset, assisted by Blair Banks caught the first fish from Bulwork on the hut side.
Easter Elchies also had a couple, Orn Sigurhansson tells me, Season started at Easter Elchies this week with a couple of good springers.
Please keep a look out for tagged kelts.
Delighted to see the Gordon Group still in action.
My regards to you all and hope tight lines is order of the day for many more days.
