What a week, it has taken about 2 hours to process the photographs and I have not even used all I received. The river is realy fishing well.
It’s going to be warm and mainly dry next week with perhaps some rain on Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. The tides are building all week, hopefully this run of fish continues.
Catches, Let me say here to save repeating myself for every beat and estate, the river is only being lightly fished most beats have only half the number of rods fishing, if that.
Fochabers Angling Association had about fifteen fish recorded; Ross Wood managed to catch a couple. Tony Smith was also amongst them.
Gordon Castle, were just short of fifty, Graham Ritchie had a special day, catching ten to his own rod.
Orton Estate, landed over thirty, and here it was Ronnie Fraser who had ten to his own rod in one day, those two must have Weetabix for breakfast!
Rothes were just short of forty for the week.
Thomas had five fish at Rothes for his day, out fishing his father!
Arndilly started fishing again this week and had over sixty fish including one of over twenty pounds.
Inverfiddich, a single bank beat consisting of one pool, had eight for the week, and wasn’t not fished on Monday as the river was too high.
Craigellachie, I do not no the total for the week but both Ronnie Fraser and Allan Mckay had a few fish each.
Aberlour Angling Club a few pictures of the successful anglers.
Kinermony, Davie Brand tells me they ha a good catch with a mixture of salmon and grilse.
Wester Elchies finished in the mid twenties, even Sam had a cast or two.
Carron, landed fourteen. Fiona Brodie is fast becoming an expert.
Knockando, had a great week over their three beats, landed over eighty fish. Euan says they have plenty of availability and if any locals want to fish give Anne a call in the Estate Office.
