Week Commencing 5th March 2018
Last week’s forecast was fairly accurate, there was some snowmelt but the cold nights kept the river in check. Next week the temperatures are set around 5C and the night-time temperatures are not significantly different. The river may rise, but hopefully not too big a rise. There might be some rain towards the weekend.
The tides are building all week.
Catches, I am pleased to be able to report catches from Aberlour to the sea!
Gordon Castle had their first fresh fish on Friday from Beat 2. Caught by Josh Barron.
Delfur had another fish from Sourden on Thursday.
Rothes started the week well with Graham Ritchie getting another fish from Burnmouth on Monday and Kevin James one from Junction on Tuesday.
Arndilly finished the week strongly with a fish for Tony Green on Friday from the Long pool and another on Saturday for David Grant from the Cobble Pot.
Pete Murray caught Kinermony’s first of the season from the Boat pool.
