Gordon Castle. David Buley writes, “There were over one hundred and twenty fish caught this week, mainly fresh grilse with a few salmon in there too. There were at least three first fish caught this week throughout the beats. One of them was an eleven year old girl who ended up with two fish, the second was as a 12lb sea liced fish landed on a single handed 7 weight rod. There’s availability through August so get in touch to book your weeks fishing.”

Easter Elchies, Callum Robertson reports, “Easter Elchies. The heavy rain on Monday made for excellent water conditions all week. The big water favouring Fiddich Mouth and Ladies Haugh. Total of 32 for the week and about the same number lost. Big percentage of the fish were grilse, most of which were sea liced. “

Castle Grant, Lionel reports “On Thursday Brian Shaw was fishing Castle Grant Beat 2 where he landed this beauty of about 15lb in the Washpot after losing two in the morning just about on the bank.

    I am sad to witness the handling of some of those fish,it beggars belief with Ghillies to hand.
