In February this year, the Scottish Government announced the next step in its programme of Wild Fisheries Reform. It has now gone out to consultation on draft provisions for new legislation, together with a draft Wild Fisheries Strategy, which will enable this new management system. The Spey Fishery Board is keen to discuss this with as many of its stakeholders as it can – Proprietors, Ghillies, Angling Associations and Anglers, as well as concerned Members of the Public – before it responds to this consultation, which closes on the 2nd May 2016. To facilitate this, The Spey Fishery Board will be holding a Public Meeting on Tuesday 19th April 2016 at Fleming Hall, Queen’s Road, Aberlour from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Anyone is welcome to attend, but places may become limited. So if you wish to attend, please book your place by contacting the Board’s Administrator, Sally Gross on 01340 8410841 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
