Sorry for the delay in this week’s report but I have been away at the British Grand Prix, the rain caused a great deal of chaos. The river appears to have fished reasonably well when I was away. I see there is some more rain forecast for the coming week, it certainly has been a wet summer. The tides have peaked this weekend and there will be no more new water this week.
Catches. The Gordon Castle beats continue to fish well with around fifty fish landed around 10% of these were grilse. Delfur were just over of the forty mark. Rothes just short of thirty. Craigellachie had their best week of the season with seventeen. Wester Elchies also had their best week with fourteen landed with eight caught on Monday alone. Sorry with being away I have no more catch reports and no pictures, I will get back to normal for next week.
